The Student Loan
Any student that has, is or will be attending university has heard of the Student Loans Company. They actually provide a student with a loan whenever he or she attends university for a degree course. The company determines the amount designated to every person and is means tested, but that is not the only student loan you can get. With education costing the Earth these days via rent, course materials, fees and every other expense you can think of, every student needs a helping hand and there are other lenders out there willing to give that help alongside the official student loans.
It is possible to obtain a student loan from specialist companies as well as high street banks and lenders. The interest rates are generally kept fairly low and the absence of a credit record often is not a problem as long as the individual in question can prove that he or she can pay the loan back.
There are different types of student loan, from the undergraduate specific loan through to the graduate loan, so you have to choose the one for you. The terms and conditions often determine whether you qualify for a specific loan or not so you may not even be eligible to apply for some, but then again there are others that will suit you down to the ground. It is all about finding them and then making the most of the help you could get both during your education and when it comes to an end.
